Rainbow Mountain Day Trip

Vinicunca Mountain, better to know as the mountain of the 7 colors or simply Rainbow Mountain is one of the new attractions of Cusco. Located more than 80 kilometers from the city of Cusco, at an altitude summit located at 5,100 meters above sea level.

Full Itinerary:

We will start with the pick up between 4:00 – 4:30 am from your hotel and  then we go to the southern area of our city to the town of Cusipata 3,332 masl and we will travel for 1 hour and 30 minutes approximately to Cusipata and then continue for another  hour trip until we reach the viewpoint of Phulawasipata 4633 masl – 15200 fasl, point where we will begin our Trek adventure and prepare to start the hike for one hour and a half, which will be 3.5 km – 2.17 miles of trek to the mountain top and then arrive at the viewpoint where we will get a panoramic view of the sector.


Along the way you will be able to appreciate the snowy Wiñayritty, also the small lagoon “Puka cocha” this part of the hike will be stretched uphill it will not be complicated, we will only need to breathe well since we will find ourselves in a place of great height and even more upon reaching the Vinicunca Mountain of Colors at 5070 masl – 16633 fasl.


Then we will explore the “Vinicunca” mountain with the tour guide. Then you will have free time to enjoy the landscape where you can get wonderful photographs or simply delight in the landscape, Optional, If you want you can continue walking by 20 minutes and visit the viewpoint of the Red Valley, for which you need to pay an additional entry, this viewpoint has the view of the valley that is behind the mountain, colored by the most reddish tones in the terrain or for being an immense Valley.


At the end of the tour in the Mountain of Colors we return by the same trek to Phulawasipata to take the vehicle to say goodbye to the Apu Winicunca, with which we will return to Cusipata, this time to taste the buffet lunch. Having already had lunch we return to the city of Cusco at 17:00 pm approximate arrival time.

In this program we will visit one of the new tourist circuits of Cusco. The “Humantay lagoon” is a natural attraction located in the town of Soraypampa, formerly only visited by those who ventured to make the trek to the snowy Salkantay, but now it has become one of the most visited places by travelers. Humantay lagoon will not take you more than 1 day, the walk is easy if you have previously acclimatized in Cusco and the reward for this effort will be the wonderful landscape that is observed in this lagoon with turquoise waters.

Full Itinerary:

Our transfer will visit you at your hotel between 04:30 and 05:00 in the morning to begin our Humantay Lake 1 day tour from Cusco. Then we will make a two and a half hour car trip to the town of Mollepata where we will enjoy breakfast. 

After breakfast we will continue our trip until we reach the town of Soraypampa, from this point we will start the walk for an hour and a half to two until we reach the Humantay Lagoon, where we will enjoy the landscape and we can take unforgettable photos and then return to Mollepata, place where we will have a lunch.

Full itinerary:

We will pick you up in the morning from your hotel or accommodation in the city of Cusco and thus start our adventure to the north of the region.

The first place to visit will be Chinchero, we will visit a local community to get to know the Textile Interpretation Center, we will also make a guided visit to the Archaeological Site of Moray considered the Inca Agricultural Laboratory, later we will pass through the town of Maras and also visit the Mines of Salt.

Returning to Cusco we will go to the town of Pisac. Upon reaching the town we will ascend until we reach the Archaeological Site of Pisaq, which is built on top of a mountain.

Upon returning to the town of Pisac we will visit its picturesque craft market in the area, the local people are experts working with minerals, we can make some purchases in the place.

We start the Cusco to Machu Picchu Day Trip very early in the morning we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco, to travel for 2 hours by car to the train station located in the town of Ollantaytambo, it is here where you will board the train that passes through the Sacred Valley of the Incas in a Fantastic journey that goes from the Andes to the jungle in Aguas Calientes, this beautiful train trip lasts 1h 45min.
