Day 1 Cusco – Lares thermal baths – wacawasi

This tour will start at 5:00 a.m. in the morning we will go to your hotel to pick you up, we will go from Cusco to the city of Calca in an average of 2 hours, passing through the sacred valley of the Incas and the city of Pisac, full valley of fertile lands, glaciers and a beautiful landscape, we will arrive at calca around 7 am we will make a stop and breakfast (not included) or simply take a hot drink and use the toilet services, then we will continue for another 2 hours towards the baths Lares hot springs, place that is the beginning of our Hike, In the hot springs we will meet the team that will accompany us on the adventure, the muleteer who is waiting with our horses and mules. The horses will carry all the food and camping equipment and the cook will prepare all the equipment for your trip, meanwhile you have the opportunity to enjoy the excellent hot springs, in the pools with refreshing hot spring water by yourself for approximately 1 hour, after relaxing and enjoying the hot springs we will continue with the Hike the first part of the way is flat it has no difficulty we will pass small gorges towards the middle of the route and stop and we will enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by our cook, next to the river and with a beautiful landscape in front, After lunch, at 1 pm. We will continue our Hike, this piece is a moderate Hiking of approximately 3 hours. This is a beautiful afternoon of hiking, with stunning views and great scenery and the experience of visiting small Andean towns along the way, and having a chat with local people. We will arrive at our camp at 5:00 pm. In the area called Wacawasi which is located (3800 masl- 12467 ft), where we will set up the tents to sleep and we will also prepare a delicious dinner by the team cook.
Day 2 Wacawasi – Ipsay Pass – Patacancha – Ollantaytambo

- Hiking Hours: 7 hours
- Highest Elevation : 4380 masl -14370ft
- Difficulty: High – challenging.
This day’s hike will be different, we will conquer the Ipsay Pass at more than 4380 masl -14370 ft, the highest point of our journey. We will enjoy magnificent views of the snow-capped mountains of Pitusiray, Sawasiray, Chicón, Verónica and other beautiful snow-capped peaks.
We will wake up early to continue the adventure, at 6:00 am. With a coca tea and after our breakfast, we will begin our hike and around 4 hours Hike in altitude areas in order to reach the highest point of the route of our trip the Ispay pass. This will be the longest and most difficult day of the entire way, the hike is hard uphill, but the indescribable panoramic views of the snowy peaks of Pitusiray, Sawasiray, Chicón, Verónica and the surrounding snowy peaks, in addition to the landscapes The valley’s impressive views from the summit are definitely the best on the trail. Ipsay Pass and after taking some good photos, we will continue our Hike from the pass, simply descending for approximately 1 hour to reach the Ipsaycocha lagoon where we will have a delicious lunch and after a deserved rest, we continue downhill for about 2 hours and in this part of the tour we can see the local people living in these isolated communities, we will have the opportunity to see some species of auquénidos such as llamas and alpacas. Finally we will arrive to Patacancha Town at 3750 masl – 12303 ft From here we will take our transport that will take us to the town of Ollantaytambo where we will spend the night in a hotel and delicious Dinner
Day 3 Ollantaytambo – Train Km 104 – Wiñaywayna – Sun Gate – Machu Picchu

After an early breakfast in your hotel, we will take the train for 1 hour 30 minutes along the Urubamba River from Ollantaytambo to km 104 at Chachabamba . We will head straight to the checkpoint at Chachabamba to start the Hike to Machu Picchu! Please note you will need your original passport to pass through the checkpoint. Our first stop is a beautiful Inca site at km 104 called Chachabamba. From here, we will hike along an ancient Inca
The first section of the trail is a gradual uphill hike for 4 hours until we arrive at Wiñaywayna. At this point, we will take some time to explore this stunning archaeological site and enjoy the Andes’ spectacular views. A packed lunch and refreshments will be provided. Once fed and energized, we will continue our hike to the Sungate to catch your first view of the Lost City of the Incas. It’s a one-hour downhill Hike from Sungate to the city, with breathtaking views. We will arrive at Macchu Picchu in the afternoon and have the unique opportunity to experience the city almost empty. This is the perfect photo-taking opportunity! and then We will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes, have dinner and spend the night in a hotel.
Day 4 Machu Picchu – Cusco
This day, we will have to get up very early and get ready to experience the highlights of the Lares Trek and Short Inca Trail tour, visiting Machu Picchu. We will go straight to take the first buses to Machu Picchu at 5:30 am.
On a clear day, you can watch the spectacular sunrise over Machu Picchu, an unforgettable sight. Your tour guide will take you 3 hours comprehensive tour of the city before leaving Machu Picchu You can explore on your own or climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (tickets must be booked in advance if possible). And then We will take the bus from Machu Picchu back to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included) and return on the train and tourist Transport to Cusco. The estimated arrival time is 7.30 pm.
